An Award Winning Start to 2017!

The classic Benromach 10 Years Old won the Scottish Single Malt category at the renowned awards and will now go head to head with other winning Single Malts from across the world with the hope of being crowned World’s Best Single Malt Scotch Whisky next month. Benromach 35 Years Old also scooped a gold award in the Speyside 21 & over category.

The World Whiskies Awards are part of the prestigious World Drinks Awards programme, launched in 2007, and presented by Drinks Report. The World Whiskies Awards select, reward and promote the best Whisky Taste and Design to consumers and trade across the globe.

Benromach Distillery Manager, Keith Cruickshank, said:

“Benromach had a fantastic run of award wins last year and the team is thrilled that 2017 is continuing that success. Our Benromach 10 Years Old continues to go from strength to strength and it’s a real honour to have scooped first place in this category and fantastic to be going up against some of the top single malts for the coveted title of World’s Best Single Malt. We have some exciting plans for this year so here’s hoping for a great 2017."

The flagship single malt, the Benromach 10 Years Old, a classic Speyside single malt whisky with a gorgeous pre-1960s character, continues to be a popular dram with whisky lovers around the world and was recognised last year with awards from the San Francisco World Spirits Challenge and the Ultimate Spirits Challenge. Other honours included a win for the Imperial Proof at the San Francisco World Spirits Challenge, the 15 Years Old also impressed at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and the 35 Years Old scooped a silver medal at the International Spirit Challenge.
