In a modern world where Speyside single malts have drifted towards a lighter, unpeated profile, Benromach stays true to the roots of the region. At our family-owned distillery, we have recreated the character that once defined Speyside - a rich single malt whisky with a delicate hint of smoke.

CORE

Aged 10 Years

Forest fruits, Creamy Malt, Touch of smoke

The award-winning Benromach 10 Year Old is matured in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks, the perfect introduction to our range. Uncover the subtle smoke that makes our Speyside single malt whisky truly unique.

Aged 15 Years

Cracked black pepper, dark chocolate, soft smoke

Our most awarded whisky, Benromach 15 Year Old is often referred to as our "Classic" single malt. A perfect dance between the first-fill sherry and bourbon cask influences and the subtle smoke characteristics.

Cask Strength Vintage

Vintage 2013 - Batch 1 59.7%
Autumnal spice, toasted oak, touch of smoke

Our Cask Strength Vintages are released in small batches and matured in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks. Bottled at their natural cask strength they offer bold, concentrated flavours to the whisky.

 

Aged 21 Years

Subtle spice, Seville orange, soft smoke

Our double gold award-winning Benromach 21 Year Old is matured in the finest first-fill sherry and bourbon casks for over two decades.

 

 

Aged 12 Years

Taiwan Market Exclusive 57.8%
Sherry Casks

Only ever matured in the finest oak casks, our Benromach 12 Year Old single malt delivers black pepper, sherry-soaked fruit and chocolate with orange peel and a touch of smoke.

Cask Strength Vintage

Vintage 2014 - Batch 3 60.6%
Fruitcake, Aniseed, lingering smoke

Our Cask Strength Vintages are released in small batches and matured in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks. Bottled at their natural cask strength, they offer a “direct from the cask” experience.

Each release showcases the result of a new process, barley drying method or different cask types used to provide whisky enthusiasts with something new to experience.

CORE CONTRASTS

Contrasts: Organic

Malty, Banana, Cocoa

The world’s first certified organic single malt whisky since 2006. Benromach Contrasts: Organic is UK Soil Association accredited from start to finish and includes maturation in virgin American oak casks.

 

Contrasts: Peat Smoke

Vanilla, Apricot, Smoky bonfire

With Benromach Contrasts: Peat Smoke, we get punchier with our use of peated barley. This release is matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels.

GUEST CONTRASTS

Occasionally, we introduce a new guest within the Benromach Contrasts series. Please be aware that these releases are limited, so stay informed by joining our mailing list, Friends of Benromach, for upcoming announcements.

Contrasts: Unpeated

Vanilla, Fruit, Herbal

Introducing Benromach Contrasts: Unpeated. Perhaps one of the most contrasting whiskies we’ve ever released. This unpeated whisky has been expertly matured in a mix of first-fill sherry and bourbon casks.

 

Contrasts: Virgin Oak

Dried banana, Butterscotch, Seville Orange

In contrast to our typical maturation method at Benromach where we use first-fill sherry and bourbon casks, we have released a new expression within the Contrasts series, Virgin Oak using virgin American oak casks.

 

Contrasts: Double Matured

Honey, Forest fruits, Toasted oak

Double Matured from our Contrasts range has been aged slightly differently to our signature Benromach style. This release is matured in first-fill bourbon barrels then Bordeaux red wine casks.

 

Contrasts: Air Dried Oak

Vanilla fudge, toasted cereal, lingering smoke

Air Dried refers to the way the wood has been made ahead of being turned into a stave and ultimately a cask. For maturation, Virgin American oak casks have been used for this release.

 

Contrasts: Kiln Dried Oak

Malted biscuit, menthol, sweet smoke

The way the oak has been dried imparts exciting flavours to our limited-edition release in the Benromach Contrasts series, Kiln Dried Oak. This release has matured in virgin American oak casks.

 

Contrasts: High Enzyme

Jasmine, Honeycomb, Peppermint

The Benromach Contrasts: High Enzyme has been crafted using unpeated high enzyme barley, most commonly used in grain whisky distilling. This single malt has matured in exclusively first fill bourbon barrels.

Aged 50 Years

2024 Release
Stewed fruit, Cracked black pepper, wisp of smoke

Experience one of our oldest and rarest releases. Matured for 50 years in the finest sherry casks, made by hand, shaped by time.

 

 

Aged 40 Years

2022 Release Batch 2
Red apple, black pepper, festive spices

One of our rare ultra-aged Benromach expressions, the 40 Year Old has been carefully matured in the finest sherry casks.
